Comment on 2003 Proton Waja 1.8x

I have a second hand Waja 1.8X which purchased at December 2005.

It's a lousy car and it made me feel like I paid to buy continuous problems.

I have experienced many problems, like the exhaust system problem, gear jerk, engine die off while slowing down or stopping the car, gear box problem, power window failure, engine mounting failure, door handle broke, sterling cycle control and also change of alternator for twice and many more.

Each failure can easily cost you few thousand ringgit. My car is second hand, so there is no more warranty. It is waste of time and also money to repair my car. Used this car for 2yrs, i spent RM100 for door handle, RM900 for first alternator, RM400 for sterling cycle control box, and today another RM800 for a recon Alternator and so on. These are not inclusive maintainance fees like Tyre Balancing, Alignment, Engine oil exchange and so on. Further 1.8x waja required 2bottle of engine oil and also more costly in respect of road tax.

It's not worth to use, told by everyone, everywhere when service the car even at EON service centre. Don't waste money anymore friend, Proton's car is cheap, but full of problem.

Don't know why still lot of people book the new saga and persona, it must be another lousy car from Proton. Savvy owner, another big problem for you also, it's Renault engine same as Waja 1.8...

Company Law

This paper is not that difficult.
But, i did a stupid mistake.
For essay questions, choose 3 out of 5.
All questions i know to answer.
After my analysis, i did the first 3 questions, despite of question 4 and 5 which is deemed as easy and can score full mark.
In question 1-3.. it is deemed as easy question prima facie.
But, it is not as easy as u thought.
Compared between Private and Public Co. 10 marks.
I only give S15 and S4.. without any addition point.
I should write S129, S124, S132C(1B), and other which related form differences as to Private and Public as stated in Chan n Koh text book.

Next question, 10 marks on Duties of Promoter.
I only give Fiduciary Duties, Disclosure of interest and not make secret profit and so on so forth.
OMG.. it is 10 marks.. My point only 5-6. Cannot score full mark d...

Next question.
Describe Circumstances that disqualified Company Auditor. 10 Marks.
Hey dude.. it is circumstances...
i hentam all 8(1), 8(2) and Accountant Act. Also, S9(1)
I think the question only required S9(1).
and further explain on it.

My opportunities forgone were Question4 which is crystallisation.
I have memorised and i know how to do. I read Chan and Koh and also Waterwoon Text books.... I can score well.
But i didnt do it.
Still rmb the case:
1 and 2) where the company is going to liquidation and receivership - Re Panoma, New Zealand, Australian Royal Mail Co.
3) creditor can take or enforce possession as to security - Drasdner Bank AG v Ho Mun Tuke Don
4) Cessation of business by company itself - Re Lin Securities
5 n 6) at the options of creditor and happening or a specific event - Re Brightlife Ltd.

Next part ask for S122A(1) and (2). Easy la...
Also, 133(1).... another 10Marks.

Question5 is easy like a piece of cake...
Differentiate Share and Debenture. 10 Marks.
Differentiate Ordinary Share and Preference Share (S66). 10Marks.

Hope the answers that i have written in Q1-3 of essay question are of adequate and fit as to the marking scheme as i thought.

Frankly, this time question is not so difficult and no problematic question. (What i memorised till so hard all wasted) But i choose the wrong question. Haha.. Haiz...

约我们去泰国
在床上睡午觉的我
起身冲凉大约下午4点出发
7人坐MPV去Thailand..


到了。。这就是泰国check point...(看见Kedah的字吗？）哈哈！
进去要填入境表。


进了泰国后。。由于时间有限，所以在周围逛逛，买衣服食物等。
来了N次，每次都一样，只有这次特别多人，找不到位Parking....人山人海。
多数人手上拿着水枪，1500litre容量的水枪，好大一只。
还有大象到酒店、店屋拜年。
开始我们shopping时，每人敢玩水，毕竟在店里啊！只看见大家落汤鸡的走在街上。
走完后，到尾段的分叉路，有位泰国妞叫我们走过去。。
我们看到那条街玩得很疯，
就停了脚步只在那里看
结果她拿着水
往我们方向过来
快！逃啊！
结果大哥比较man....
牺牲小我，他背后都湿了！哈哈!
第一个被水attacked的人。


之后我们走过那条街
还有喷水的罗里，向我的方向射来。
水从天而降，我想原来拍戏的假雨水是用这罗里来喷射的吧！哈哈！
我边吃鸡腿，背后都湿了！

最可怕的是，
2位走过的泰国小女孩
我看见就觉得他们有点可疑
看到我。。他们打眼色。。
然后attack....一人拿水枪，一人拿粉往我的脸涂。
防不胜防。
弄完我之后，
她们微笑的离去。


还有，有个小女孩，
看到我和表哥就很喜欢泼水给我们
还特的跑去冲表哥水呢！
别的路人也是，有些还玩了起来。
每一辆路过的汽车，都中水枪射，而且有粉白的颜色。
车都肮脏了。
摩托骑士也不放过。
很多Hilux, Commodity Car，货车，罗里等，后面载满人，有水。。
走到哪里喷到哪里！
大家好开心。
整条大马路都好多人好多车好热闹！


有一间PUB前面，起了舞台，大家都落汤鸡的跳舞，音乐好大声！水也不停的泼！
之后我就进去店Shopping了，在店里没人敢玩水的。
购物完后，出来已经6pm了。。
比较静了，听表哥说有人打架，警察来，所以大家停了。
况且乌云密铺，要下雨了，老天爷也玩起泼水了！哈!
大包小包的拿着，到checkpoint弄departure出境了。
很多人排队，今天holiday..好多人。

拿了车，也要塞车过toll....
可是我们被停留大约1小时。
表嫂新加坡人，没有弄departure from Malaysia to Thailand....只有Thailand arrival...
要进入office弄。。。花了整1小时！

我们在车上吃零食！哈哈！
之后去Siam Kampung吃大餐。
今天就这样过。

Rebutment : Sunway VS Kasturi

There is a lot of people anti-sunway in the forum.
Come on..face the facts, if you freaking sucks at studying, no matter what lecturer you get, you'll still bloody fail.

hahaha, yeah, RM10k not worth if for college life for some of you, yeah yeah, I know, why the f*** pay that kind of money for college life eh? Sadly, not everyone is as money minded as you people, and frankly, if you're life is all about attending lecturers, then go back home, I'm not surprised if you don't find it worth it at all.

College life is having a place to study, with people, to have club activities, and mug for exams with friends. If you study at KSA or McO and whatever, and you have that, good for you, but the environment is better, more club activities, more rounded generally at Sunway.

If you people, choose the submit to the limitation of all financial management methods, which is ignoring the issues of motivation, peer support, and all the other intangible things that a proper college environment provides, go ahead.

It's not a matter of cost. For SPM leavers, and those not anxious to work, it's a feeling that we've been in college before and enjoyed it. I'm of the opinion if you wanna bash sunway, for fuxx sake, fuxxing bash your own place first, especially carlosandy.

KSA or McO is a row of shops. It provides ACCA, and does it quite well, I admit. So tell me, why majority of the prizewinners, aren't from there? Good lecturers motivates you pass, very true, but a good environment gives you the push and drive to excel.

Yeah, I guess to some of you, your priorities is to pass, yeah. Go ahead, be content with mediocrity, and I'm sure it'll reflect throughout your future. And your money minded approach will just reflect on your attitude to non-financial performance indicators.

To me, I don't intend to be that money-minded.

Message from Kasturi

Hi Eng Hwa,

Thank you for your enquiry at Kasturi School of Accountancy (KSA).

Our next intake for ACCA will commence in July (starting on 30 June - Monday)

Our fee is going to remain similar to current sitting, and you can find the information at www.ksacitycampus.com

The level 2 subject F6 to F9 will have full fees of RM710 per subject including Normal course, Kaplan textbooks and intensive revision class as well. The level 3 fee will be RM780 per subject including normal class, Kaplan textooks and intensive revision class.

You can do OBU with us, but you must register as ACCA student and 'opt in' to do OBU at the time of registration before your first attempt of F7, F8 and F9. Other OBU will not allow you to do the project. Our fees for OBU is RM1088 (RM200 rebate if you submit the research report before closing date at KSA, which is usually 1 March or 1 Sept), this will bring net fee to RM888.

Kasturi is definitely cheaper as compared to SUNWAY.
F6-F9 only RM710 inclusive intensive class.
Furthermore the lecturers are well-known.
In SUNWAY, RM1100 for F6,F8,F9...
F7 is RM1300 because is Ms Menon (High reputation lecturer)

For Professional Papers, Only RM 780 is Kasturi.
Whereas SUNWAY RM1300.

Overall, F6 till the end of ACCA, there is RM6740 tuition fees in Kasturi.
Whereas it is RM11,100 in SUNWAY.


In Sunway, it needs Student Resource Fee of RM 285 per semester. Overall for 3 semester, RM2500 required.(inclusive application and registration fee, refundable deposit)

For OBU degree, there is only RM1088 in Kasturi.
But, it is approximately RM4500 in SUNWAY. (not sure)

Does it worth to spend more RM10k to get a college life?
Anyone from SUNWAY can tell me why?
Why you choose SUNWAY?

Lose Weight! Burn Belly Fat!

1. Eat less, but eat more often. If possible, eat 4-5 meals a day. This helps your metabolism and blood sugar to stay level as well. This does require a change in your schedule. 5. Drink more water every day. Stay hydrated. Eight cups of water each day will help you to feel full. If you're a heavy soda drinker, limit your soda. Note that people drinking diet sodas tend to drink more and feel less satisfied, leading ultimately to a higher calorie intake. Just one extra soda each day can add tons of calories. water will clear out your system, and make you feel better, it is even clinicly proven to even clear up your skin!

Advance Diploma vs ACCA

A:
Actually I am full scholarship holder for Diploma & advanced Diploma (CGPA >3.85 entitled 100%)
But, I quit TARC after attend for 2 weeks of its Advanced Diploma. The lecturers there, I really felt NOT GOOD la..

I join INTI for their accountancy degree !! (My father wan me to get a degree , UTAR is so NEW that time)

I m taking ACCA part time !! Got join Sunway for ACCA (last sitting), very nice !!

That time, not yet even print out the student bill yet !!
Terrible management !!
(nyway, I still got the Advanced Diploma Scholarship Certificate even I m not their student, my friend help me to take one !!
Most students from Sunway is damn hardworking, u will adapt their "hardworking" culture.

B:
however, if u prefer gud competitive study environment, den sunway is undeniably d best among all colleges...
coz u can know lotsa frens in d college, n this creates an invisible/ transparent comparison of standards between students....weaker students wud work even harder to catch up wf gud students...n gud students wil work even harder to score HADIAH....haha...

C:
Study ACCA don't just thinking Sunway. Other college like Kasturi, Mc Orange, Kolej Bandar, FTMS and SEGi offer cheaper tuition fees with better quality lecturer.

And don't just look at the prize winner. I can tell you that " For those ACCA prize winner in Sunway, do you know their name possible also appear in Kasturi or Mc Orange name list?" Means that a lot of Sunway student also go to Kasturi or Mc Orange for addtional tuition. That is a reason why Sunway student can get special discount if go to Kasturi attend Revision class.

Study ACCA always follow lecturer, but not follow college.

Sunway student, they have a very good college life but due to some lecturer inexperince in teaching ACCA, so a lot of the Sunway student go to KL college for additional tuition or attend revision class. Do you like if you study like that? Some more you already paid more than thousand per subject in Sunway and go to KL paid few hundred for additional tuition or revision class, do you like it?

D:
as i mentioned before, you are left with 9 ACCA papers upon completing TARC Diploma in Accounting. if you decided to follow the advanced diploma path, you will be sitting for 4 internally assessed ACCA papers in the first year and in the second year, you will be doing both external and internal ACCA papers simultaneously. ideally you will be getting your advanced diploma + ACCA within 4 years time (and a degree from SHU if you choose to top-up in UK for 3 months upon completion of advanced diploma. But take my words, majority of the students will be hanging in advanced diploma suffering from different progress in external and internal papers.

if you really ask my opinion, i would say one thing good of taking diploma is you will be having campus life. and once you've experienced that life for 2 years in diploma, better ciao and come out to study.

yeah...
frankly in tarc i think it is too relax and low standard, the customs here are : study at the eleventh hours, do assignment at the last minute, seldom do tutorial question (wait tutor give), tutors speak mandarin and hokkien in class (Pg campus), students all speak mandarin and hokkien (Pg campus), admin office ppl mostly speak hokkien and mandarin, too many certificate students.
KL main campus should be better, i think.

Indeed, campus life is great in TARC.
I joined Community Sociology, Business Games held by TARC and ACCA.
And also participated many events, many briefing and talks organised by Student Welfare commity, Chinese language Society, Christian Fellowship, Music Society, Sport recreation club....
Those activities and events are Prom Nite, FantaSing/ Project Star, Christmas Celebration, Chinese charity sales, basketball intercollege and inter country matches (with Singapore polytechnic) , english camp and so on.... a lot campus life....

I know there are lots of college which the lecturers are better than sunway.
and if u are a diligent student who can self discipline up yourselves, continue tarc, or other college (FTMS, McOrange, Kasturi, SEGi..) , u also can get ur acca as well.
Is there a lot of Sunway go for tuition outside?
I do believe that Sunway Lecturers are better than T*RC.
T*RC sent a program supervisor to pg campus, 10 reason why choose TARC advance diploma:
---they are platinum tuition provider
---has merit scholarship
---can get ptptn or loan
---has more friends come along with u, no one can live without friend ( good marketing strategy)
---better alumni
---Campus life ; leadership camp, acca conference..
---can get 3 in 1 ; degree, acca, advance diploma
--- can go UK with only 30k ( plus air fare, living cost for 3months, consider cheap)
--- Acca award, 3 ppl.... 2 acca, 1 cima year 2007
--- cheaper and affordable fees with only 7k 2 years

But, they personnel did not talk about how quality the lecturers are.

In sunway, the admin ppl can tell me :
"As for why you should be choosing Sunway University College, our group of lecturers lead by Mr Teo Ee Sing already have the reputation and experience teaching ACCA courses. Even the top 4 accounting firms in KL send their employees to study our ACCA on a part time basis. "

What can we see is a big discrepancy there.
TARC is cheaper, lecturers less experiences.
however, internal assessed is a good thing because can rely on lecturer for tips.
TARC be awarded Platinum is because of AFA (advance diplom in financial acc cum acca)
what i can see is if this course be terminated, there is no longer platinum.
in the talk, there was a student asking why has such AFA and AAC. why dont put in 1 course so that students will not in dilemma in choosing course, as both also accountancy.
The fellow answered with proud, saying that AFA is the shortcut path to ACCA. 2 years u can get adv dip and acca.

TARC Advanced Diploma no Value ?, Your opinion please ...

A:
I was TARC Advanced Diploma graduate,I found that most employer view that Advanced Diploma are much lower standard than any Degree. The pay is lower !!

B:
well, advanced diploma IS lower than degree. the difference between an advanced diploma from a degree is the thesis/graduating project. at the end of a degree there's usually a research component that requires u to use everything that u've acquired throughout ur studies in a single project. the thesis could take from 2 months to 1 year, depending on ur course.
although lacking only thesis, advanced diploma is still viewed as a diploma, and not to be confused with post-graduate diploma. so it's not a matter of TARC's adv dip has no value, it's actually the perception of all adv dip in general that is low.

C:
basically, for the TARC AD, i personally feel that it's just a way of getting you to study in UTAR's degree program. it can lead you directly to UTAR, or get you a Bachelor's degree within 3 months with Campbell.
however i think it's plain bullshit. i don't believe a degree can be obtained just with 3 months of study in UK. it'll be more like a holiday to me.

D:
But, don't forget u need to spend RM 30K in order to get a Degree ? U need to use the Degree to do post graduate programme.
U can't use Advanced Diploma to do a master programme...
How is Advanced Diploma equivalent to Degree ?
In JPA system, Advanced Diploma is totally not recognised !!

E:
It's the same. Advanced Diploma, Diploma ... if you don't have the 30k to go to liverpool or shefeld helem to study. They pay you get will only be limited to Diploma pays.
Yeah like some of the guys already said earlier. If you go UK to complete your degree program, you're actually studying in the summer. Meaning everybody else in UK is partying like MAD while you're the dude there studying.
The decision is still yours. I wouldn't recommend anybody to take on TARC's advanced diploma though.

I have came across the posts in this thread.
Majorities are criticizing TARC.
In the prospectus or in every program supervisor's mouths, Advance Diploma is equivalent to DEGREE. There is all bullshit.
Indeed, It becomes a degree by reason only that you topped up in SHU, UK.

I am also TARC diploma in accounting student too.(shhh...)
TARC offers me scholarship for advance diploma... but i intend to forgo it and go for acca externally.

Does AFA better off?
Are TARC lecturers better off?
Is TARC environment better off?
Is TARC public security in a promising level?
Is TARC has the environment of study?
Is there everyone good, polite, self discipline student?
