Though it is a silver medal, You still are our hero!!

Lee Chong Wei said:
“I was sad because I could not win gold medal for the country. Many would have been disappointed with the manner I lost. But from the welcome I received today, I felt as though I had won the gold medal,” he said.

“I am glad that the nation is still supportive of me despite my defeat.

“This means a lot to me. It will only spur me on to work even harder to achieve more good results for the country.”

Chong Wei said that the experience playing at the Beijing Games was priceless.

“There were days that I could not sleep and there were days when I had no appetite to eat. The pressure was great. But I have no excuse for the defeat. Lin Dan was so fast, he had improved so much,”

What a great play by Lin Dan!!!

Lee Chong Wei, Malaysian first seed men single in Badminton lost to World No. 1 LinDan yesterday!!

21-12,21-8... After the match ended.. everyone is questioning..What did Chong Wei do?
What a great disappointment!

First, Lee Chong Wei had won Sonic in quarter final and won LeeHyunil in Semi-final..
These victorious matches try to convey us a message that nothing is impossible. Lee won Sonic, the last Athens Olympic Champion. Further, Lee won Korea 1st seed player LeeHyunil, Top Black Horse in Olympic, after scrambled for 3matches. What did these victory try to tell us? For people who not concern about Sport, not care about own country Olympic would also trying to believe on ChongWei. He could get into the FINAL on Men's Single is now become reality. He was surely for a Silver, and we were expecting for a maiden Gold Medal.

Even not a badminton fan would also care about this game. A big game between China and Malaysia. A historious match which was vital for Malaysia. I still remember, around 6pm, many friends who were not concern about sport, working 24/7, keep calling me..msn nudging me and asking me when will the match start. Normally around 6pm right? They were started to worry.

I am sure all Malaysian watched yesterday match. In Wangsamaju famous MAMAK stall, BRJ... was crowding with people started at 8pm. No place to sit. If you order their famous nasi lemak ayam, also have to wait for an hour. My friend told me, when Lee lost to LinDan, their Nasi Lemak Ayam just delivered.

Frankly, can get into Final was already a good history for Malaysia. THis was the first time Men's single can get into final stage. At the final, i'm sure the both players are good enough. They are not competing their skills. WHat they are fighting is psychology skill.

The first advantages to Lindan was the Home advantages by china.
The cheers from China Supporters was loud indeed. If you were at the spot, i think you will be shocked after hearing the country cheers.
Lin Dan JIA YOU!! Was loud indeed. The cheers might break down an Ice Mountain.. might be a powerful weapon for China.

The second, Lee is poor in control his psychology and mental emotion.
When he was losing marks or being dragged behind.. He did not have confident at all. His face shown much of tiring, exhausting and no have spirit at all. When you are leading, no matter how tired you are.. you will still playing well with high spirit. This spirit couldn't be found in Lee at the final yesterday.

This was the worst games ever that he played with Lindan. Unbelievable.. only 39minutes... he had being defeated by Lindan. Lindan played very well and he was invulnerable, unbeatable... WORLD's No1...

As compared to his failure to Lee in recent Thomas Cup in Indonesia, Lindan playing skills was totally different. He improved a lot. Do you still remember in 2005, LinDan lost to Taufik at the final... Lindan almost not scoring in the final. Taufik had tricked him. Lindan was at the down form that time. He lost with much shame.

And now, after 3 years.. he is become stronger.. and the strongest in Badminton field.. World No1 and unbeatable.. what a juggernaut.. what an insane..
And today, Lee CHong Wei lost to him... lost with shame.. how could World No2 performance like shit!! All the way mistakes...

However, Get a silver.. No bad also la!! but please rmb this lesson.. Try harder..
Next Olympic 2012 in London, you will 30years old... Nothing is impossible..

See whether you can learn from the frustration and become World's Top Player or not.
Olympic 2012 London.. Put your best efforts!!

An Unexpected Failure of China’s most popular athlete - Liu Xiang

The most anticipated event of the Beijing Games ended stunningly and prematurely Monday morning when China’s most popular athlete, Liu Xiang, limped off the track with an Achilles’ tendon injury and withdrew from the 110-meter hurdles, depriving the host country’s fans of what they had hoped would be the signature triumph of the Olympics.

As what we know...
Liu had become the first Chinese man to win a track and field gold medal by taking the 110 hurdles at the 2004 Athens Games. He became a celebrated symbol that China could compete with North Americans and others in events that required speed and sophisticated technique.

He was also considered China’s lone certainty for a gold medal in track and field at the Beijing Games. Liu’s picture was everywhere on billboards, endorsement with Nike.. Perhaps this might causes pressure on him to repeat as champion in his home country had mounted, even as news began to surface that his injuries may be more serious than previously thought.

So, Liu Xiang had disqualified to enter into Olympic 2nd round...
What an unexpected incident!!
Liu Xiang.. hope your injury will recover soon..
And hope your Olympic Record will be still on the board.

From this incident, we can conclude that our life is so uncertain. Not everyday is lucky day. Even you work hard, sometime have to depend on luck.
But, remember this.. if you didnt work hard, you will never be susceeded in life!!
Liu Xiang.. Don't be frustrated! Keep it up!! And so do i.. Study hard for coming EXAM!!

Retirement of TARC Principal, Ms Yoong Lai Thye 14 August 2008

Today, TARC Principal, Ms Yoong Lai Thye, ACCA member, who had worked for TARC for 35 years out of 39 years, has retired. Scholarship Certificate Presentation was held in line with Ms Yoong Lai Thye retirement farewell. As one of the recipient of scholarship, i attended the farewell + certificate presenting in the college hall this morning.

Some of you might not know who is Ms Yoong Lai Thye..
Well, i will show you her photo and all her historical background here.

Check it out!

This is Ms Yoong Lai Thye recent photo taken in JMU, UK 2008.

Yoong Lai Thye was born in 1952 in Johor Bahru, a city just north of Singapore, the second of seven children. Her parents instilled in her a strong sense of responsibility, perseverance and hard work and her siblings taught her the importance of caring and sharing.

Yoong attended school in Johor Bahru where she did very well academically. In 1973 she left for Kuala Lumpur to study accountancy at the Tunku Abdul Rahman College, a prestigious institution named after the first Prime Minister of Malaysia. At TAR, Yoong worked diligently, not wishing to disappoint her parents who had made sacrifices for her.

In 1976, she gained a Distinction in the Diploma in Commerce, simultaneously completing the Professional examinations of the UK-based Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and studying for the finals of the UK’s Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators.

After graduation, she became Accounts & Administration Officer in a local manufacturing company before accepting an offer to join TAR College as a Lecturer in Business Studies. Soon afterwards, she was successful in achieving a prestigious British Council Colombo Plan Scholarship to study for a Masters in (Accounting) at the University of Birmingham. Her fiancée, Chan Chee Seng joined her in the UK and they were married in Birmingham in 1978. They have two daughters, Jennifer a doctor and Samantha who has just graduated in Canada.

After obtaining her Masters degree, Yoong was granted 6 months leave by TAR College to undertake training at Price Waterhouse in Birmingham to broaden her experience.

Now, lets talk back to certificates presenting ceremony. I had been fooled by my friends that morning. Before i reached college hall, my friend told me in phone that i have to register beside the college hall, there is a counter at the right hand side of college hall, typically is marking attendance. When i reached college hall.. i went to counter, and told them i want to register. They asked me what course am i? After i told them everything, my name was not in the list. Only 1 course representative will go to stage and take the certificates.

After i entered the hall, and sat along with my friends. I asked them where did they register? They still cheating me... They said "You quickly go to see Mr UNG(the director of student affairs) who was just walking down from the stage. Just now Mr UNG was at the counter and marking attendance for us. " My friend accompany me to see Mr UNG, but he kept silent and after i approached Mr UNG, he left. The same question i asked Mr UNG, he also didnt know. He brought me to counter again. Same answer i got from the personnel at the counter. They were fooling me!!!!

I believe it because everything was came so logically and there was no doubt for me to disbelieve. I asked them, why fooling me? They answered, because you are wearing tie today... so smart... like the representative. SOB!! sweat dude..

Smart?

Forget about it...
let me show you some photo that i took with Ms yoong.
She is so friendly... after she knew we are ACCA students, she talked a lot to us...
